{in charge}

Jack and Henry are pretty sure they're in charge around here.

This morning they woke up quietly, came downstairs, and went to work.

They added a little color to my flower arrangement...

Cooked a lovely rice breakfast on the stove...

decorated the house (with more rice), and even cleaned out the freezer. (Apparently they didn't think we needed baking soda, hamburger meat, frozen veggies, Gogurt, or cookie dough.) I've been finding those things all over the house today--it's been quite the adventure.

I'm trying not to think about the fact that they could have turned on the burners, started a fire, filled our house with gas, or escaped out the sliding glass door (Henry is now big enough and strong enough to open the lock and door--all other doors are latched up high).

I used to think "double trouble" was just something people said to me in line at the grocery store.

It's not.

Kierste,

What is that beautiful wall color in your home? I love it! It looks absolutely beautiful against the white trim. Smart little boys you have! Have a great one! ~Laura

The mixed veggies are very innovative. :)

Flowers with vegetables just may be the newest decorating craze! Double trouble says it all...I am serious about setting up a nanny cam in their room. Maybe you could win $10,000 from AFV and make some profit off of their sneaky ways.

Maybe a little alarm on their door??? But I remember you writing about your being a very sound sleeper so maybe you wouldn't hear it.

They are definitely very creative.

Oh my goodness! I'm glad that you always see the humor in things....I on the other hand probably would've reacted a little differently! Some days I wonder if I have the patience for kids..there are times when I can't even handle Rob. Ha.

Maybe switch the lock on their room so it locks from the outside? (Or does that sound cruel?) We did this on closets when I was tired of kids rummaging through everything.

My sister's twin boys almost microwaved themselves. We were thankful to find out it was twin girls (though they have their issues as well:)

I remember when I heard the stove clicking one time (gas stove). I bolted in the kitchen and found Ashley on top of it! All I need is for her to set herself on fire! (She didn't by the way.) Good for you for looking at it that way. :)

You are so lucky! And what innovative decorators & cleaners they are! It makes me so happy to hear it happening in other homes (sorry, it just does)... they sound so cute I just want to squeeze them. =)
